The Coalfields community Investment Programme

The CCIP delivers grants  to voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations to help them deliver projects in the top 30% most deprived coalfield areas. The programme cannot fund capital costs but is able to fund core costs up to 50% of the total amount requested.
The projects they help fund cover three different themes, all of which can have an enormous impact on the lives of everyday people struggling in ex-mining towns and villages:

  • Skills
  • Employment 
  • Health & Wellbeing

Specific Information

Area: England but the fund also have programmes in Scotland and Wales

Suitable for: 

  • Registered Charities
  • Companies Limited by Guarantee
  • Community Benefit Societies
  • Community Interest Companies
  • Charitable Incorporated Organisations
  • Unregistered groups with formal rules

Funding size: Up to £10 000 

Application deadline: Committee meets quarterly
Next deadline: The Eligibility surveys opens 16th March and closes at 5pm on 22nd May 2020. The deadline for applications is 5th June 2020 at 5pm
