The West Hampstead Green Gym is a group of volunteers who run a weekly practical conservation and gardening session on Fridays. We currently run sessions at 3 locations; Mill Lane Open Space, Minster Road Nature Reserve and Westbere Copse Local Nature Reserve.

    Our aims are to…

    • Improve the health and wellbeing of our volunteers so that they can play a greater role in their community
    • Improve the local environment by conserving open community gardens and open green spaces for biodiversity and recreational use.
    • The promotion of practical conservation through our volunteers for the benefit of the public.
    • Enabling our volunteer’s learn and gain knowledge and experience of practical environmental skills, as well as and widely transferable social skills.

The Green Gym is an enjoyable and invigorating way to becoming more physically and socially active. Our sessions are suitable for all ages and fitness levels, and are a fantastic opportunity to do something healthy outdoors and meet new people.

Just come along at about 10.45am on any Friday to one of our scheduled events. We would love to meet you!
