Thanks to funding from MRWA (Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority) and HACT we have been fortunate enough to create Eco Teams Legacy. This will enable anyone who has participated in Knowsley Eco Teams over the past 3 years to create and deliver their own Eco Team. This summer Groundwork have installed a variety of raised beds, compost bins, recycling bins, poly tunnels and water butt’s across Knowsley schools and community centres – ready and waiting for you to get involved! We are interested to hear from any Knowsley residents or community groups who may be interested in creating their very own Eco Team which will not only help make financial savings but will reduce your environmental impact too! We are particularly interested to hear from any adults who may wish to share their knowledge, skills and experience with young people including school children. We are also recruiting volunteers who will have the opportunity to help deliver Eco Teams in Knowsley, working for Knowsley Housing Trust – one of the largest and most reputable employers in the Knowsley area. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain essential skills within the growing green sector or someone who is particularly passionate about the environment, horticulture or carbon reduction.
