  • Our Story

Urban Veg is part of Winterbourne House and Garden at the University of Birmingham, UK.

    For course bookings call 0121 414 3003 (option 4).

We aim to promote a culture of urban food production as a means of addressing issues around health, diet and social exclusion.

Working with a variety of individuals, community groups and Public Health workers in our beautiful outdoor demonstration space, we teach a variety of courses which offer a multitude of learning experiences related to food production, harvesting, cooking and storing.

Throughout the year there are formal courses, open days and volunteering opportunities open to all.

We are proud to be supporting Big Dig Birmingham and connecting people with food growing places. If you’re interested in learning more or getting involved please, have a look at our website and twitter or drop us an email urbanveg@contacts.bham.ac.uk
