  • Our Story

    Hungry for Change?

The University’s plot at Brookfield is ready and waiting for some helpers to get the season started. We will have weekly sessions on a Wednesday 1-4pm.

Come along to share your green-fingered expertise, or to learn the difference between a carrot and a parsnip – all skill levels welcome!! There is lots to get involved with to ensure a successful harvest so we would love it if you could drop in, this project is open to the community as well as to University staff and students.

A great opportunity to get outdoors and do some good for the planet by growing and enjoying sustainable fruit, veg and herbs- hosted by the Social Impact Team at University of Leicester.

We have a great plot of land with all the resources needed to produce loads of fruit and veg, we just need  volunteers to work on the plot for our sessions, there will even be produce available to take home after sessions, tea and snacks available in the fully functional kitchen area on the plot building and a trained community gardener to support sessions so you don’t have to have prior knowledge, all are welcome!
