Touch of Sparkle
Project Category: Informal community group
Touch of Sparkle provides ‘care packs’ to patients at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, UK. The care packs are mostly donated to cancer patients in the oncology department but batches are also produced for other departments as part of special projects, at the request of the hospital. Touch of Sparkle is run in aid of the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (reg. charity no. 1170103).
The idea is to spread a little care and humanity and try to lighten the load for patients. The packages include:
– Practical items (e.g. bed socks, tissues, sweets, herbal tea for anti-sickness)
– Distractions (e.g. puzzle book, notebook, pen, playing cards)
– Pamper items (e.g. nail varnish, moisturiser, lipbalm)
If you would like to help us fill more care packs, please see our gofundme page at http://www.gofundme.com/touchofsparkle and our Amazon wishlist at
Any donations, however small, are very much appreciated to help us spread a ‘touch of sparkle’ to those facing this difficult journey.
