“The Trading Post” is an awesome Community Building that is home to a number of different social action and community projects all run by volunteers from Coulby Newham Baptist Church and in partnership with the local community. Current we run the following projects weekly and we have plans to grow and develop further projects that make a real difference in our community –

    – Seniors Friendship Grop (A free friendly environment with activities, talks and trips for elderly people, addressing loneliness and isolation)

    – Kids Club (A weekly club for primary age children from the neighbouring Erimus housing estate involving, Craft, Baking Skills, Sports Skills, Games and life lessons)

    – Little Angels Parent/Toddler Group – A much needed free and safe environment for parents to relax and socialise while the Children play.

    – Youth Groups and Youth Workers – Our Youth Workers who are housed in the upstairs of the building provide pastoral support and mentoring to teens with behavioural problems at our local high school. And also run weekly a weekly Youth Club on Sunday Nights.

All of these projects are run by an incredible team of volunteers that are passionate about seeing South Middlesbrough become an amazing place to live. Project Dirt has helped us to develop our facilities further so we can create an amazing environment for all our of projects to function from.
