  • Our Story

We are a woodland based group who carry out practical conservation and traditional forestry at King’s Meadow, part of Longbeach Wood in The Kent Downs AONB. Our aim is to improve the environment for wildlife, nature conservation, and recreation whilst engendering a sense of community. We promote and share traditional forest enterprise, practical conservation and nature-based craft skills through a range of practical tasks and skill sharing events.

We meet on the first Sunday of every month to undertake practical conservation and woodland management tasks. We also hold craft workshops, wildlife survey days and other nature-based activities throughout the year.

We are committed to developing links with educational establishments, community groups and local businesses and welcome enquiries from groups and individuals who would like to arrange a visit.
