Our Story
Hands of Hope is a community-charity set up in 2016 by the current Trustees. Combining natural & community heritage we are currently restoring and developing a derelict a neglected walled kitchen garden and 22 acres of AONB land in Kent with the aim of teaching people and their communities’ practical ways to sustain, conserve, protect and improve the natural environment and, through education and training, we are improving people’s health and well-being using growing, cooking and the natural world.
We already deliver Helping Hands Lunch Club, Men in Sheds, Bee in Company, Growing Buddies and Hedge-Hands and are seeking to extend our community programmes, providing access to traditional skills and practices in order to reconnect communities and generations, tackling rural isolation and improving physical and mental health for marginalised groups.
