Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park – thirty one acres of beautiful and atmospheric woodland in the heart of East London.

This is the most urban woodland in London. The site supports an incredible variety of trees, plants, birds, insects, bats, beetles and butterflies. It is a designated Local Nature Reserve and, as a result of careful management and conservation efforts, a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation.

THCP is managed by The Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park for local people. We have three members of staff, a dedicated board of trustees, and are supported by over 3,000 volunteers annually. Our volunteers come from all walks of life including local people and corporate groups.

We also run an active programme of events, walks, talks and training, including a Forest School.
