  • Our Story

The Big Dig Day is all about getting people down to their local community garden to get growing. Whether you are new to gardening or an experienced gardener, we need your help to make your local community garden grow.

Every spring, hundreds of volunteers pull on their wellies and head outside to help a community garden get ready for the new growing season. This year we are welcoming more volunteers through our London Grows iniative and gardens are gearing up to host new and old volunteers, ready to shovel compost, build trellises, plant seedlings and enjoy a hard day’s work in the company of friends and neighbours.

    Registration for gardens
Sign up for this year’s Big Dig, in the Capital Growth member’s area and click on the top left-hand box saying ‘The Big Dig’. Any questions? Get in touch with Maddie.

Not a Capital Growth member? Joining is free and easy for anyone growing food in London.
