Our Story
The project
The Friends of the Parkland Walk will be cutting back and rooting out bramble on one of the few open grassland areas of the Parkland Walk. Over the years, habitats have become poorer due to dominance of tree cover and bramble and we are concentrating on this area each winter over 5 years to improve opportunities for a wider range of species of wildflower and hope that this will have a knock on effect for wildlife.
Where and when
We will be meeting on the Parkland Walk between Stapleton Hall Road and Upper Tollington Park. MAP
The Friends will be there between 10 and 12 on Saturday 13th February and Saturday 12th March.
The Conservation Volunteers will also be here on Thursday 28th January and Thursday 11th of February between 10.00 and 15.00.
