Our Story
At SUA Foodbank, we don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis.
SUA Foodbank is committed to providing our service to those in need. We are determined to continue to support the most vulnerable in our community whatever challenges Covid-19 may bring. We have already adapted the way we usually work by moving our warehouse and distribution centre to new temporary premises to ensure safe working for our clients and volunteers. This has been an unexpected and considerable cost to our charity.
We are so grateful to everyone who supports us with food donations, but at a time when more people are in need, we are also finding our warehouse stocks are suffering. We are faced with the very real prospect of not being able to supply enough food parcels to meet client need.
This project is to raise awareness and to ask for help. Please support us with food donations and cash donations towards the running costs of our charity and to enable us to buy food to distribute.
At this worrying and uncertain time; no one knows what the future will look like. One thing we do know for sure is that the Foodbank is in this for the long haul. Thank you for your support.
