St Mark’s Church owns the White House in Marske-by-the-Sea and runs it for the benefit of the whole community. Groups using it vary from Childminders, Take Heart, Weight Watchers, Alanon, Keep Fit, RED, Yorkshire Countrywomen and Marske Community Partnership. Over the years the building has become rather run down. The church has maintained the building but not carried out any major work. In 2019 we started a campaign to completely modernise the building. The first thing we tackled were the toilets and the old rotten windows.

We created a new room from two old, large cupboards before we ran out of money. Greggs4good enabled us to furnish the small room. It is now being used as a meeting room by Alanon every week. The photographs show the original cupboard and the end result. THANK YOU GREGGS!
