St Benedict’s Wildlife and Young Growers Project – Thanks to the Greggs Foundation
Project Category: School
- Our Story
As an inner city school in an area with high levels of deprivation, where our children have limited or no access to safe, green space, it is important for us to offer our children opportunities to explore nature and develop a love and respect of it.
The project will allow access to outdoor learning, developing gardening skills, providing children with opportunities to learn about/develop a thirst for exploring the great outdoors.
The project will encourage a love of wildlife through the creation of minibeast houses, bird boxes, bee and butterfly friendly areas, log piles, feeding the birds and more!
This project with also be used to help our children to develop confidence in speaking, as well as developing friendships and skills for life.
Thanks to the Greggs Foundation for funding this amazing project!
