Our Story
Slades Farm Community Garden is located in the large Slades Farm Open Space in north Bournemouth. Historically this was farmland, but it became absorbed by Bournemouth’s expansion in the 1950s. Work started on the community garden in March 2012. The objectives are to garden sustainably, using permaculture principles, and to provide an open and friendly environment for people to come and learn about gardening in harmony with wildlife.
