Our Story
This project is providing the opportunity to utilise agreen community space. Having access to this space meanwe are in a position to help maintain it and promote its use to the wider community; creating further opportunities for local networking. The project will help to engage new local volunteers, to help to create a visual interesting and stimulating space. Many of our children enjoy and thrive in a sensory filled environment, the outdoor spaces are flexible and offer different thing dependent on the, sun, wind, rain andproviding new smells, touch and tastes. Having access to green outdoor space will add to the sense of health and wellbeing for all who access it. As parents of children with disabilities we know how important it is for our children to play in their community, just like other children do. Inclusion, raise awareness of every childs needs. Operating in a ‘green’ space, accommodates children’s need to access the natural environment, promoting child development, resilience, physical and mental health; all which can be achieved through play. Reduces isolated for individual children and their families as a result of exclusion.
