We want to make the Ashburton Estate a great space get to know your neighbours, share skills, cook delicious food which would have otherwise gone to waste, get our hands dirty and watch green and delicious things grow!

A couple of sites near The Green Man (on Ashburton Estate) need tender care and green fingers. Pear, apple, damson trees need watering and pruning, compost needs sieving… there’s always a lot to do and no experience required. We want to get as many people involved as possible (spread the word!).

This project started in Nov 2016- we have an orchard site on the corner of Tildesley and Carslake road (thank you The Orchard Project!), a food and garden-waste compost area by the Regenerate Youth Club, and raised beds which need care on each side of the Tildesley Road shops! The committee is a very small – if you are interested in gardening, community, making, etc. and live around the area, please get in touch, we would love to hear from you.
