Preserve a local community green in Cricklewood

Our Story
Our small registered charity is based in NW London. The aim of our charity is to look after a green space for the use of the local community. We mainly depend on volunteers to maintain the green. We depend on public funds and donations to cover our running costs (mainly insurance, utilities and gardening). During the Coronavirus lockdown, bushes and high grasses have overgrown making it very difficult to maintain solely by volunteers. We do not have professional gardening tools to tackle the pruning and cutting of bushes and weeds. We are desperate to have access to funds to use the service of professional contractors who will deal with the heavy cutting and pruning and make the green more manageable for volunteers to work on regular maintenance. We will also need to buy gardening tools (mainly mowers and streamers) so that we will independently use them to maintain the green. Thank you for helping find sponsors/donors who will be able to make the green accessible to local families with children who are in need to have access to the local green as well as to elderly people who live next door in the home care and would love to come for a stroll.
