  • Our Story

    Plot 22 is a Community Allotment and one of the projects provided is Community Sundays.

    We want to increase the diversity of local people who come to Plot 22.  

    We are offering:

    a) Two facilitated taster sessions for up to 10 people (and their children), where participants:

    • plant, care for, harvest food
    • explore natural environment
    • learn about the environment
    • develop skills to ‘cook from scratch’

    b) Four places on our Community Sunday sessions to:
    • garden together
    • cook/share a meal with produce harvested from the PLOT

    c) Advising/mentoring local groups who want to establish their own community
    gardens

    Greggs Foundation Grant is funding the above.  It includes the engagement with local groups, the preparation and facilitation of sessions/, mentoring and advice on setting up a community garden and proportionate contribution to site upkeep, equipment and insurance.
