Pendeen is a special place – a strong vibrant community set within stunning wild countryside. But like many rural communities, it (and its people) face challenges.

Pendeen has an activity community with a number of diverse groups, organisations and committed people working to ensure it is a place people love to live in.

In recognition of the challenges Cornwall faces to help its people and communities achieve their potential, there is significant funding (EU, Lottery and otherwise) that can be unlocked, but there is a risk that the smaller voices may miss out if they cannot organise to take advantage of them or make their voice heard – that funding, that projects or that people will look only to larger towns.

To ensure Pendeen rises to the challenge of ensuring its needs are recognised, that existing organisations and community groups don’t miss out on opportunities, and that local businesses and people get the support they might want to flourish, Pendeen can form a strong shared voice – a Pendeen Partnership.
