Environmental charity Groundwork London strengthens communities by enabling residents to live and work in a greener way and celebrate fresh, seasonal produce. Marks & Spencer funded improvements to the garden at Groundwork London’s Hackney office to facilitate a social enterprise that sells eggs laid by the Pembury Chooks to help fund activities, and offer skills training, for young people from the Pembury estate. GW London’s Australian Executive Director Lindy Kelly calls hens chooks, hence the Pembury Chooks!
