Our Story
It is often difficult for d/Deaf and hard of hearing people to get out and enjoy the community they live in. Communication can be difficult and many d/Deaf people suffer from isolation and depression. Sign and Share Club organises a range of monthly trips and events to overcome these barriers.
Using listening devices (funded by Greggs Foundation), note-takers and registered British Sign Language interpreters, we ensure that everyone can join in and get the most from the event.
We have volunteers who can use sign language and/or take notes, help with administration or just offer a cup of tea and a friendly face.
Our trips have included, steam railway journeys, visits to castles, boat trips and other tourist attractions
