The Education Team at Warwickshire Wildlife Trust will  deliver four free pop up environmental education sessions for parents and young families (aimed at 2-12 year olds – but not exclusive to) who visit Elliott’s Field Retail Park. The sessions will be held over a 5 month period to maximise the opportunities for local residents to get involved. Utilising the adjacent green space next to the River Swift which runs through Elliott’s Field Retail Park, these sessions would help to bring the community closer to wildlife, allowing them to appreciate the nature of Rugby.

By delivering the sessions at Elliott’s Field as opposed to a more traditional venue such as a nature reserve or education centre, the Wildlife Trust aims to engage new audiences and reach out to more people who perhaps would not traditionally take part in such activities. When people have finished their free activity they will be signposted to nature reserves in the local area that they can explore in their own time and given more information on how they can get involved in future activities if they would like to learn more about the environment.

we will deliver lots of fun activities including willdife games, bug hunting and nature themed crafts for the children to take home.
