  • Our Story

After forming in the summer of 2012, Roath Garden Party started work on Mackintosh Community Garden at the start of the following September. The RGP has now dissolved, but the Garden remains, under the guidance of Roath in Growth! 🙂

Our aim is, with the help of the local community, to plant the garden up with fruit, vegetables and herbs, for the benefit of the volunteers and the community as a whole, while following organic and permaculture practices.

We hold regular volunteer days on Saturdays, from 12pm, and hold regular workday and social events, so check the pages for updates!

As a community group, donations of tools, plants and so on would be most welcome 🙂

The garden is located on Arran Street, to the rear of the Mackintosh Sports Club & Community Centre (itself located at 38 Keppoch Street).

For further information on volunteering at the garden, please send us a message.

****Unfortunately, Mackintosh Community Garden is no longer run by Roath in Growth****
