Our Story
At WWT we believe that the best way for people to understand and connect to wetlands is to experience them, so we bring awe-inspiring nature up close and let it do the talking. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team to help run the London Centre’s Summer Learning programme for families, aimed to do just that. The programme will run from 22nd July – 3rd September and will offer a great mix of fun, interactive, nature-based activities during the summer holidays, from pond-dipping and finding reptiles on our reserve, to Forest-School style sessions for younger children.
As part of our team, you’ll play a vital part assisting staff leading the activities, preparing for and supervising family groups taking part. You will also help to run a central information desk in our Courtyard providing information and activities for visiting families. While experience of working with children is welcomed, no prior experience is necessary as all relevant training will be provided.
