Our Story
The Kotuku Environmental Labourer Project (KELP) aims to give young unemployed Londoners a helping hand into long term employment. It equips them with basic health and safety and environmental skills and qualifications. After training they are matched with full time work opportunities on the first rung of the construction and waste management industries employment ladder. The project provides in one place, a comprehensive package encompassing initial selection, bespoke training, qualification attainment, and employment placement while also providing continual support and personal encouragement.
The next course is due to start on Monday 16th September, with several courses planned over the next two years. If you are 18-24 and unemployed, an organisation that may be in the position to offer a trainee a work placement, or just want to know more about the project, then please get in touch and we would be happy to answer any questions.
