Our Story
We are local group of people who meet once a month to explore the night sky and space related sciences. We started in January 2013. We meet once a month to hear presentations from guest speakers on space related subjects. We hold twice yearly observation evenings to view the night sky. We do some work with local youth and adult interest groups.
Astronomy and space exploration are the key interests that grab the attention of young people and introduce them to mathematics, engineering and physics as well as wider science subjects. Astronomy and space education is a cross-cultural subject.
The support from Skipton Building Society has enabled us to interact with local groups through astronomy and space related subjects to inspire, enable and propel humanity through science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
