  • Our Story

This is a project that helps provide volunteering and practical life skills to the many vulnerable adults that we work with throughout the week. We run gardening sessions every week ensuring that participants learn basic gardening skills, develop self confidence and begin their journey towards employment. We have found the outdoor environment and simple physical tasks have made a significant contribution to the health and well-being of many that we work with especially those suffering from issues of social isolation, mental health and alcohol or drug dependency.

The project also helps to provide fresh produce to House of Bread which we can then use as part of our provision of 100 meals per week, whilst maintaining it’s environmentally focused ethos and utilising local businesses food waste as well as providing a natural, attractive environment for the local community.
