Our Story
The Peter Le Marchant Trust was set up in 1977 by Clare Le Marchant-Connell with an aspiration to provide canal boat experiences for the disabled and seriously ill.The Trust has achieved this and currently has two wide beam Boats and a narrowboat operating from Loughborough. The Boats carried 4300 passengers last season. All adapted for wheelchair access.
The project is to replace the inefficient heating system on Symphony with an updated system to ensure our clients are kept warm and comfortable during a cold day.Other work is being carried out to improve standards.
