  • Our Story

Harbury e-Wheels uses two electric cars to provide free transport to people in need referred to us by local surgeries, support charities and social agencies. These vary from churches to Children’s Centres, Citizens Advice and mental health charities. There are no charges to the passenger nor to the agency. We also collect donated food and groceries from the community and take it to the local central food bank. To achieve this we have to raise funds regularly through regular and one-off donations, events, and grants. every year we aim to raise £10,000 to £12,000. It’s a major effort!

We use electric cars to cut down on the pollution created by conventional engine exhaust. As more renewables are added to the national energy mix these cars become increasingly energy efficient and will reduce carbon emissions. This climate change mitigation measure is an important part of our project.

We would like ultimately to be able to create a business whose profits support the work of the project and we have some early stage plans.
