Our Story
Knyaston Passage is part of Growing Communities’ Patchwork Farm, a cluster of urban market gardens across Hackney that grow organic salad leaves. Each garden is open one day a week, growing and harvesting salad for the incredible ‘Hackney Salad’ which is then sold at local outlets, restaurants and in the Growing Communities box scheme the next day.
We work at the site every Monday afternoon and are looking for volunteers of all abilities to help us out between the hours of 3pm-5pm as we are hoping to move the garden to the next level.
No experience is required. Whether you want to learn a bit more about gardening, fancy a couple of hours of sunshine and digging, or are interested in a move into growing, we would love to hear from you!
You can contact myself, Sarah Alun-Jones on 07735 040629 or my colleague Farook Bhabha on 07548 252637 or pop in and see us!
