  • Our Story

‘Green Peas’ provide nature & eco crafts workshops for children of age 2-8 years and natural messy play for under 5’s.

We run fantastic outdoors art events ‘Art Picnics4Kids’ during summer time and variety of workshops and events for local projects, festivals and organisations!

‘Green Peas’ nature& eco crafts workshops are a unique opportunity for children to actively engage with Nature in an urban setting. Our modern lifestyle means we buy most things ready made and our children lose connection with the elements and the natural world. …. Our nature crafts workshops are designed to reflect changing seasons and reinforce the connection with natural world. We use natural materials foraged in local green spaces and bring the crafts activities outdoors during the summer months.

By creating art out of seemingly ‘ordinary’ objects such as bottle corks, chocolate wraps, seeds, leaves – everything and anything, we boost children creativity and problem solving skills. By introducing them to patterns and textures of Nature we introduce first notions of proportion and perspective, sharpen their awareness of natural environment, observation skills and improve concentration. The workshops also include basics of environmental education such as learning about natural objects we use.

We promote a positive and respectful attitude in children. The leaves on the trees, a pine cone on the street, a grass blade are not longer a meaningless background.  Through children imagination we turn Life into ART•••

Our natural messy play classes are run weekly during term time. Typical session lasts 50min and includes:creative craft activities, tactile play, playdough modelling, painting, grains scooping.

The activities are suitable for children aged 15 mths-4 years.
