Our Story
The team at Barnsbury Community Centre wish to develop the unused green space behind its centre and convert it in to a community garden.
As part of the Barnsbury Improved Lifestyle Initiative we wish to transform the space as a place where residents can come and enjoy the space, scenery as well as take part in the services at the centre.
Islington is synonymous for its appealing green spaces and the Barnsbury garden will reflect the beautiful green spaces around the borough.
Our decision to create a community garden is supported by health research which shows community garden help Improve individual health and mental wellbeing.
