Greater Manchester Community Renewables (GMCR) has launched a share offer to fund solar arrays at Broadoak Primary School, Bridgewater Primary School, Light Oaks Infant & Junior Schools and Peel Hall Primary School

This will help them save money, reduce their carbon emissions and inspire children (and grown-ups!) to learn about energy and climate change – and profits will go into a community fund to support eco-friendly projects in the local area.

GMCR is asking people and businesses to help raise the £145,000 needed to fund the solar arrays by investing a minimum of £100. In return, everyone who invests will receive up to 4% interest each year (subject to performance).

To find out how you can apply for shares in this exciting community energy project, visit or search for @WeAreGMCR on Facebook or Twitter.

Please share with your networks to make sure everyone gets the chance to be part of our clean energy revolution!
