  • Our Story

Good Food Matters’ is a small charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged children and young people to build healthier lifestyles. Although our activities focus on the Croydon area, we are keen on promoting our holistic approach to other networks around the country.

The Centre is in a deprived area with high levels of poverty and unemployment. It is an innovative new project that will educate and train local people of all ages and abilities how to grow, cook and market organic food. The purpose-built teaching building with fully equipped kitchen is under construction and will use organic produce from onsite permaculture vegetable plots and a forest garden that are also being established from scratch.
