We have launched a lunch club for our rural village to help reduce the isolation that many of the elderly in our community suffer from especially during the winter months.

We have no public transport so a chance for these individuals to get together for a hot 2 course lunch, a catch up and chat with friends and neighbours has proved very popular, so much so that we have extended to the surrounding parishes, thanks to the Greggs Foundation Grant which has made this possible.  We now around 42 members attending on a regular basis and the whole experience is great fun for both our guests and volunteers who cook and serve the meals

We are also launching “Little Fidgets” offering a get together for young mums and toddlers for the same reason as above, it’s not only the elderly that suffer from rural isolation….Thank you Greggs
