    Embrace has received EU-funding for another Best Practice Exchange to Germany’s Solar Valley in mid April 2012: www.solarvalley.org
    The visit is pretty much fully funded and Embrace pays for:
    – flights & travel insurance
    – pick up from the airport in Germany
    – accommodation
    – food & subsistence (3 square meals a day)
    – local transportation
    – any entry fees

    The visit will focus on :
    – Smart Grids
    – E-mobility (electric cars/ scooters) and their use for general public 
    – Renewable Energy Training (visiting Chamber of Craft’s recently established training centre for renewables and energy efficiency, one of the most modern in Germany)
    – Community Solar installs (development, planning, delivery, finance)

    We’ve done similar visits now since 2009, having taken over 80 people  to Germany to exchange best practices, meet peers, develop networks.  Feel free to have a look at our blog which has details on the last

    Please get in touch if you or one of your colleagues is interested in this opportunity. We are keen for those people to go who are responsible for training & development of training, training curricula, or those who look after students in initial vocational training, apprentices and those looking after the adult provision of training in your organisation.

    a professional employed in vocational education and training or employed in a business or training environment and whose day to day role includes the design or delivery of training, professional development or careers guidance? Examples include:

      Teachers, trainers and vocational training staff who are responsible for training establishments or training planning

      Human resource managers with significant responsibilities in designing or delivering training

    Occupational guidance personnel.
