Our Story
Western Riverside Waste Authority provides a free waste education programme for schools in Wandsworth, Lambeth, Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea.
Classes can visit a working recycling centre and transfer station, and see what happens to the 1300 tonnes of waste and recycling collected each day in our part of London. They find out about the 3Rs, what they can do to put them into practice, and get hands on with craft activities.
We can also visit schools to deliver assemblies and workshops on reducing, reusing and recycling, and work with schools to improve their waste systems.
