Our Story
The Crystal Garden, Royal Victoria Docks Calling all gardeners! Join us for our free sessions at the Crystal Garden, 1 Siemens Brothers Way, Royal Victoria Dock, London E16 1GB Workshops are all drop-in sessions and will take place on the following dates: Monday 2 March 10am 1pm – Pruning fruit trees Friday 6 March 10am 1pm – Grafting fruit trees Tuesday 10 March 10am 1pm – Fertility and comfrey planting in the orchard Monday 23 March 10am 1pm – Natural pest control in the orchard Thursday 19 March, 10am 12noon – Flower propagation for beginners Saturday 21 March, 10am 12noon – Flower propagation for beginners Thursday 26 March, 10am 12noon – How to grow herbs Saturday 25 April, 10am 12noon – How to grow herbs The London Borough of Newham in partnership with the Siemens Crystal and the Mayor of London is establishing a new community garden next door to the Siemens Crystal building. We are looking for volunteers to get involved in shaping and maintaining this exciting new project in the Royal Docks. This is an opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people. Whether youre a keen gardener or a beginner, put your gardening gloves on and make a difference to your local area. HUB, developers of the nearby Hoola project on Tidal Basin Road, have agreed to sponsor a series of workshops in the new garden starting in Spring 2015. Please meet in the garden for workshops and wear suitable clothing and footwear.
