Forward Assist is a veteran support project based in the North East of England. It assists former serviceman in the transition from military to civilian life. The Forward Assist Veterans Allotment is part of the community garden in Seaton Delaval Hall a National Trust property in South East Northumberland.

We are growing vegetables for our monthly Cook2Give dinners for older isolated veterans. Later on this year veterans are going to rebuild a glassshouse in the grounds of the Hall.

Forward Assist also have a beekeeping project with hives on top of INTU Eldon Square Shopping Centre in the centre of Newcastle.

Our Greggs Foundation Environmental Grant is being used to fund all the work in the allotment project . We have also received core costs funding through Greggs Foundation
