The Cultivation Street campaign supports community and school garden projects with free gardening advice, newsletters, growing calendars, fund-raising tips and a free national competition with over £20,000 of cash prizes to give away.

The aim of Cultivation Street is to make the UK green again – anyone from the UK (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and the Chanel Islands) can get involved.

We provide a support network, contacts, information and research- so people like you, can get on with supporting your community (we’ll do all the back end research and send it to you in an easy step by step guide). For example – a school asked how to create a Nature Trail – we created a guide of how to do this and shared it with our entire network.

We like to celebrate the achievements shared with us every day and so every month we share 4 school and 4 community stories both in the newsletter and on the website. We choose a Garden Hero every Friday (a opportunity to suprise and recognise the efforts of someone/a team that week), we have an article that goes in the Sunday Mirror (that has a national readership of 3 million!) and finally we have the competition in August!

This year (2018), there are more categories and more prizes including cash and Calliope Geraniums.

The top prize is £5,000 and 100 Calliope Geraniums – for a full list of the categories and prizes available please visit the website –
