Master Gardeners offer free food growing advice and support to residents and communities in Croydon.

Especially those referred to the project through “social prescribing” – ie by GPs, health care professionals, third sector organisations etc as being likely to benefit from learning to grow food.

The network of enthusiastic volunteers will be fully trained and supported by the UK’s leading organic growing charity, Garden Organic.

Master Gardeners have helped 60,000 people grow their own food around the UK.

We are looking for volunteers to become Master Gardeners in Croydon. You’ll need to have a minimum of two years’ food growing experience and a passion for sharing your knowledge with others. We ask for around 30hrs volunteering in a year.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer Master Gardener, please get in touch with co-ordinator Liza Scholefield at
