  • Our Story

We have a small Vegetable Patch and a Green House which is just outside of our open plan class rooms. The area is well used as a teaching resource, linked to preparation for work, healthy eating and independent living. The students grow a variety of vegetables and fruit. This is an ongoing project designed to help Students access Wildlife and the Natural World in a safe and accessible environment. Through  a grant from the Greggs Foundation Enviromental Grant  we are in the process of adapting the area to make it more accessible for a wider selection of our students, especially improving wheel chair access. We would like to add raised beds and seating to the area as well as extra top soil. We would also like to add a variety of fruit bushes and plants, to widen our growing potential.
