Our Story
Project Creative Hands will be open to any of our guests who would like to take part and will offer a fortnightly afternoon (three hours) of creative work on a range of themes, from the practical (present-making, up-cycling clothes) to the purely creative. Our goal is to get an average of 15 people attending each session. Many of our guests are vulnerable due to mental health issues or substance addiction, and one or two have early onset dementia. Apart from the mental respite, it is expected to improve their social and communication skills, as they will sometimes work in groups. Above all, it will build self-confidence.
