Cancervive provides emotional support and practical help for people affected by cancer. When someone close to you is diagnosed with cancer it can be an overwhelming experience. Through face to face sessions and 24/7 Nationwide Telephone Support, we help our clients to cope with this life changing news.
We support patients, their families and friends through:-
a) 1-2-1 Support Sessions at the client’s home or at our office.
b) Support Groups and
c) 24 hour Nationwide Telephone Support.
There is insufficient help where cancer is concerned, as more and more people are being diagnosed yearly. Many clients are left waiting for several months for support. Our Aim is to see the client within one week of contacting us.
The service already on offer which support cancer patients and their family and friends often lack people with personal experience. They have not necessarily experienced the same traumas as the clients so they may not personally know how to deal practically or emotionally with the multitude of problems that can arise from the news of a diagnosis. All our volunteers have had personal experience and know the downfalls and challenges that the clients are going through.
