    LOOKING FOR FUNDERS/SUPPORTERS!

Can You Hear the Sound of the Flowers? is a project investigating permaculture and sustainability through the medium of dance and visual arts.

The project’s visual artists will make set design using waste materials and illustrations inspired by juxtapositions of urban landscapes and nature.
The project is taking part in permaculture events at Glengall Wharf Garden, in order to gain a deeper practical understanding of the topic. The experiences will then be distilled and explored through movement and dance improvisations.
The project includes three professional performers. Choreographically, the project is looking at how to use the 12 principles of permaculture to create a compositional structure and a movement score for the performers.
There will also be developed workshops in “permaculture and dance”, for the public to participate in.

The aim of the project is to bring awareness of permaculture as a possible strategy towards a more sustainable future, expressed through the medium of art. The project aims to reach people who are interested in environmental topics, as well as introducing permaculture to people who go to see dance performances. The workshops aims to promote a healthy living, through connecting to our bodies, each other and nature.

To make all of this happen, we’re looking for short term/long term collaborators/funders/supporters who would like to be a part of this project. The project will be performed at the dance venue The Place in London, Feb 2017, but is aiming to continue its development after this point.

Are you or do you know anyone who might be interested in this project? Join me and my team on a journey of discovering permaculture through dance and visual arts, and help promote sustainable living through dance performances!
