The Bee More Project with grant funding develops and delivers Social / Care Farming activities for vulnerable and disadvantaged groups or individuals improving health, wellbeing, up skilling improving employability and reduces social isolation. In February 2018 with financial support from the Greggs Foundation, Heritage Lottery, the Roger Stott (Both administered by the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, Stories in Stone)  Fund and Craven Trust we are over 8 days going to take 8 beneficiaries and create a new wildlife corridor by planting a 1000 wildlife friendly hedge plants (160 m hedge) and a new 110 tree native broad leaf woodland which will be used as an ongoing training /activity resource for the project through its maintenance. We hope to be working in partnership with Shipley college who around the required work preparing the ground including some dry stone walling participants will be able to achieve a Level 1 Award in Environmental / Countryside Skills with a reference along with the further opportunity for progression within the college or volunteering opportunities with the Bee More Project.
