Our Story
Our project is supporting the members of local ethnic minority communities, particularly the Gurkha veterans communities at Aldershot, Hampshire to reduce carbon emissions and promote environmental conservation. Training, information and support are being provided to key members of ethnic minority communities to help them improve their understanding and skills on waste/litter disposal, food waste reduction, improvement of home energy efficiency and choosing sustainable travel options.
We organised two training workshops on environmental sustainability at Aldershot and trained 45 members of the Gurkha veterans communities particularly those who struggle with literacy.
We are very encouraged from the success of this project. The local community members and the stakeholders are benefiting from our carbon reduction and environmental conservation initiatives.
