Community Project TLAs (Three Letter Acronyms)

At Semble we work with all kinds of community projects, some as small as an individual wanting to make a change in their neighbourhood, others national organisations. Some of these are businesses, some are charities, some are informal meetups. But knowing your CICs from your CIOs and your Social Enterprises from your Community Enterprises can be quite a task.

Our friends at Locality have produced a brilliant resource to help you untangle some of these TLAs (Three Letter Acronyms, that is) and other organisation structures. What do constituted, charitable and incorporated actually mean? Open up this resource for the ins and outs of group structures and statuses.

You can also get brilliant support from your local volunteering centre.
